General Description of the Feature
The design of this feature includes two improvements on the workflow designer and the workflow tool components. The goal of these improvements is to provide to the admin users a more user-friendly and easy to handle and configure, workflow designer page.
Workflow Components - Administration pages
In the following administration pages of the workflow tool components, a new field has been added, called "Workflow Type".
- ~/SetupEntities/List/Workflow/IDMS_WF_ExtFunction
- ~/SetupEntities/List/Workflow/IDMS_WF_NotifTemplate
- ~/SetupEntities/List/Workflow/IDMS_WF_TranReqData
- ~/SetupEntities/List/Workflow/IDMS_WF_Validation
This field is a drop-down, including the available workflow types. Each of the workflow tool components can be characterized with a Workflow type or left empty for use in multiple Workflow types.
Additionally, all the above pages have been enhanced to include a Filter button, with filters from all the available fields.
Workflow Designer - Workflow Components
Within the workflow tree, all the workflow component tools (External Functions, Notification Templates, Validations, Transition Requires Views) can be clicked. When doing so, a pop-up window is displayed including the information of the relevant entry. The fields in this window are view only and the user can only close it as an action.
In addition, when selecting to to add any of the above mentioned workflow components on a transition of a workflow, the list will display only the ones with:
- empty/null workflow type, or
- workflow type that matches the one of the respective workflow.
