This is the basic concept supported in Digital Sales Workplace regarding Inquiries, Leads and Opportunities. The sales process starts with a customer inquiry that can be created in an external system (i.e. web site) and then sent to DSW via the standard API. The Inquiry can be also created manually directly in the DSW, 

The customer Inquiry goes through a qualification process for both the prospect customer and the interest, and if successful then a Sales Lead is created. The Lead becomes an Opportunity when the sales stage is mature and the probability of having a successful sale is high.
