General Description of the Feature

A new API is provided by SYNOP to handle multiple make/manufacturer scenario. Therefore, multiple makes in case of third party consents could be setup. This leads that the GDPR information (symbols top right side) in BP-Page would be updated:

Consents for multiple makes/manufacturers could be setup for digital GDPR-signing by SYNOP.

Configuration 

Following needs to be configured:           

  1. ~/SetupEntities/SynopAccessParamsGridList
  2. ~/SetupEntities/SynopDocMappingGridList
  3. ~/SetupEntities/SynopDealerMakeGridList
  4. Two scenarios for user-settings – With or Without SynopDeviceID

Go to ~/SetupEntities/SynopAccessParamsGridList & add a new entry:

It is necessary to fill in all fields in the Popup window:

Fields:

  1. Name – the field for easy identification and search (can be anything)
  2. Company - the company for which the settings will apply
  3. Synop API Key - the field must be obtained from Synop
  4. Synop Mandant - the field must be obtained from Synop
  5. Synop Base URL - the field must be obtained from Synop

For each company you need to add your own record.

Go to ~/SetupEntities/SynopDocMappingGridList & add a new entry:

It is necessary to fill in all fields in the Popup window:

Fields:

  1. Name – the field for easy identification and search (can be anything)
  2. Company - the company for which the settings will apply
  3. Synop ServiceID - the field must be obtained from Synop
  4. Document Type - type of document with which the ServiceID will be associated

For each company you need to add your own record.

Go to ~/SetupEntities/SynopDealerMakeGridList & add a new entry

Fields:

  1. Name – the field for easy identification and search (can be anything)
  2. Company - the company for which the settings will apply
  3. Make – Select relevant make via drop down
  4. Default Consents – select consents or leave it unselected

Two scenarios for user-settings – With or Without SynopDeviceID

Scenario A: User with SynopDeviceID

Go to ~/UserManagement/UsersList, & find the desired user and go to the page for editing user data:

Fill in the “Synop DeviceID” field and save: 

Following pop-up will appear after clickin “Sign GDPR with Synop” button in one specific BP-page:


Scenario B: User without SynopDeviceID

If the user does not have SynopDeviceID, but leave this field empty. After clicking on the "Sign GDPR with Synop" button, the user should see a pop-up window with QR Code:

The QR code must be scanned using some device, such as a phone. The link from the QR code should redirect the user into the SYNOP page, where he/she can sign.
