General Description of the Feature
While executing a workflow for Retail or Wholesale an order document is created.
The created order document must be shared with the DMS via API, and it needs to contain the information about the Cost Center.
In OD DSW the following fields is required to be added and displayed:
- new field in the User Profile: Department (drop-down).
- new field to the Retail/Wholesale Lead: Cost Center (drop-down)
For the new created lead/opportunity the field cost center will be automatically prefilled with the value of the field Department of the current user.
The DSW User can manually change the cost center by selecting the value from the Drop-Down List. It is allowed to change the cost center of the Lead/Opportunity until the order has not been created.
Once an Order for the Lead/Opportunity has been created, the field cost center cannot be changed.
Business Benefit
Retail and Wholesale order document always relates to a Cost Center.
Cost Center indicates responsible department for a cost, for example: new cars department, used cars department.
The integration methods between OneDealer and DMS will provide the Cost Center information for Retail and Wholesale order document.
The Cost Center information can be used by a manager and/or supervisor in the DMS to create analytics and differentiate costs.

This can be done from Setup by selecting from drop down entity the IDMS_Department
- /SetupEntities/List/Administration/IDMS_Department
Using the plus Icon create department/cost center entity.
• Name = Name of the Department-Cost Center
• Company = Select the Company
Setup Keys:
AutoCostCenterPrefilling > Turns on/off the automatic prefilling of cost center in the tab overview
The Setup key “AutoCostCenterPrefilling” needs to be active (Entity = True) to turn on the automatic prefilling of cost center in the tab overview
Mapping:
Mapping for Object Type: Department
Lookup reference of Department values in OD DSW and Department values in DMS (Cost Center) needs to be matched.
