General Description of the Feature
The goal of this feature is for the user to be able to search for various Vehicle Features in the Vehicle Grid list and load all entries without having the performance issues caused by the XIS_DESIGNCODES table(e.g. for Torpedo with more than 800k entries).
The Vehicle Grid list feature search has been adapted and instead of loading all entries of XIS_DESIGNCODES and have the search option for the features all listed in the search, now it searches for specific entries from the new “Flags” table.
By clicking on the “pen” icon of the entry “Flags” in the search section of the vehicle grid list, a pop-up “Flags” is opened to show all flags in alphabetical order. The user can scroll and choose from the available flags via checkbox.
Two buttons “Save” and “Cancel” are available. “Save” will apply the selection to the search result (filter).
Business Benefit
The performance issues are eliminated when searching the Vehicle Grid List.
Configuration
Flags Tab
This tab replaces the current “Features” Tab. The look and feel of it is the same as the previous “Features” tab but it only shows the existing flags of the vehicle and NOT empty check boxes as it is right now.
Vehicle Card Page-Actions
In the Vehicle Card Page there are 4 new actions.
1.Add/Remove Flags
2.Add/Remove Features
3.Auto-add Flags via Keywords
4.Auto-add Flags from External Flag Mappings
Flags Setup Page
In order to add and configure Flags in the system, the Vehicle flag Grid List must be open.
Add new Flags
A new flag can be added by clicking the + sign next to the Action button. A pop-up window opens to insert the data.
Here new flags can be created that correspond to the Group name.
Vehicle Flag Keywords
The Flag setup page can be accessed also via keywords that the user can create, that match specific criteria. Using this option flags can be added automatically using a "Keyword" that describes it.
From the + sign a new keyword can be added and matched to a specific flag.
Flags Mappings Page
External mappings can be created using from the Vehicle mapping Grid list.
For example when we add a new Option map in the pop-up window we choose the Flag that we want add or remove Features.
By clicking the + sign we can add features and with the - remove existing ones from the specific Flag.
Similar logic covers the functionality when adding from External flags.
