General Description of the Feature
For the purpose of covering more possible ways of financing the purchase of a vehicle, three additional fields have been created in the Finance tab of DSW.
The first two fields, Internal Financing and External Financing appear in the Finance type drop-down option field after an offer has been created. The first one indicates that the financing of the vehicle will be done internally, for example a Dealership or an Importer is able to offer to its customers the opportunity to have a loan. The same logic applies to the option External.
The third field appears in the Finance detail pop-window with the name Quota Type and it represents the Quota on Trade Imports.
A Quota is a government-imposed trade restriction that limits the number or monetary value of goods that a country can import or export.
Business Benefit
Now it is possible to cover more ways of financing the purchase of vehicles as opposes to the standard ones used up to now.
Configurations
Finance Type
The External Financing and Internal Financing options have to be created and configured in the Option Field (IDMS_OptionsField table) with EntityName=Document & Field=FinancingType, in order to appear in the drop down list.
Quota Type
As it varies from Market to Market this has to be configured according to each Market's laws and specifications.
Again in the IDMS_OptionsField table this field has to be created and configured with: EntityName=Finance & Field=QuotaType
