General Description of the Feature

This feature deals with an enhancement in the synchronization between DSW andd DMS. Specifically, a DSW user can now be informed whether the following Business Entities have been synchronized successfully with the DMS:

  • Business Partners
  • Vehicles
  • Documents (Sales, Purchase, and Multi-unit orders)
  • Job Cards

There are three possible values for the Synchronization Status: OK(if the response from DMS is successful), Pending(if the response from DMS is not sent yet), Failed(if the response from DMS is failed)

1.Business Partners

A new column has been added in the Business Partners grid list with the Synch Status

 

In addition, a new field has been added to the Business Partner card page, displaying the synchronization status in the top right corner

2.Vehicles

A new column has been added in the Vehicles grid list with the Synch Status

In addition, a new field has been added to the Vehicle card page, displaying the synchronization status in the top right corner

For the two Business entities mentioned above, in the two relevant grid lists, when the status is Pending or Failed, there is an (i) icon which provides more information about the status:

Failed:

When the user opens the Vehicles/Business Partner card page, they can view additional details regarding the status and instructions on how to resolve any issues.

During the creation of a new business partner or vehicle, the sync status should initially be set to Pending. Upon refreshing the page, it will display either OK or Failed

3.Documents (Sales, Purchase, and Multi-unit orders)

The same behavior is reflected in the printed documents for both Sales and Purchase documents as well(Lead/Opportunity/Multi-Unit Sales Lead/Multi-Unit Sales Opportunity/Purchase Lead).

Administrators have the option to select from the setup key "IntegrationLayerTransferredDocumentTypes" which documents are sent to the DMS. If one or more documents are not selected in the setup key, then the Sync status will always be OK.

4.Job Cards

When a new Job card is created by a user, the sync status for all related job cards about the customer can be viewed in the "Related" tab in the open appointments/job cards section


Business Benefit 

DSW users can easily detect the synchronization status for all the mentioned business cases.
