The DAT 3 evaluation action allows the user to evaluate the specific vehicle in the DAT 3 external application, and to receive back the recommended purchase and sales price as well as the technical specifications of the vehicle.
When the user clicks on Get DAT3 Evaluation, and the vehicle is found in DAT 3, then the fields purchase price and sales price are updated. The vehicle master data can also be updated, if the related indicator set to Yes.
If the user clicks 'Get DAT3 Evaluation' button so the system gets evaluation for this VIN and brings values for Purchase price and Sales price.
If the vehicle is not found in DAT 3 the user can select the option Evaluate in DAT 3. After logging in DAT 3 application, the user can evaluate the vehicle directly in this application. As soon as the process is concluded, the purchase and retail price are updated.
In order to use the DAT 3 evaluation, the dealer must have a specific license and credentials to communicate or to log-in to the application. The access to the application is given to specific users and it is controlled by BC9384.
