01 BP - Tab: Details

The tab Details contains basic information for the Business Partner (Name, Contact details, Pricing)

The fields in this tab are grouped under the following sections:

• General Data
  • Special attention should be given to the following fields:
    • Type - This field is mandatory.
      There are  three types:
      1. Customer
      2. Lead
      3. Vendor

                              It is important to mention that the type is not editable and cannot be changed. 

• • • Business Partner Type - There are two types of business partners:

      1. Company

      2. Private.

                            It is important to mention that the type of the BP is not editable and cannot be changed.

• Business Partner Group
  The Business Partner can be added to a group, which can be selected from  icon.
• Additional Data 
  Special attention should be given to the following fields that are filled-out automatically and considered in the calculation of the VAT in the sales lead Offer. 
  • VAT Business Group - the default value is stored in the set-up key: DefaultBPVATGroupType
  • Financial Group - the default value is stored in the set-up key: DefaultBPFINGroup
• Other important fields for pricing and offer calculation are: 
  • Currency -  during creation the currency is picked up from the set-up key: DefaultBPCurrency. However the user can select another currency from the drop-down list of available currencies. When the currency of the BP is different from the currency of the company, then in the offer the user has the possibility to alter the default company currency and then the offer amounts will be calculated based on the BP currency. 

  • Pricelist - The price list is filled-out during the creation of the business partner based on the set-up key:DefaultBPPriceList. The user however, can alter the price list by selecting one from the drop-down list. 

  • Language - the field is updated from the default value in the set-up key: DefaultBPLanguage, however the user can select another language from the drop-down list. The language controls the smart notification and document template to be used when interacting with the BP.
